“Something tells me I’m into something good…”

I have had just about the most fantastic week possible… despite lots of driving, my car nearly exploding, and very aggravating car people.

Thursday – Theresa and I went to dinner with Tara and Matthew.
Friday –  Theresa and I went to dinner with Brian, Betsy, Ben and Hannah. Very interesting group I must say. I hadn’t met Hannah yet so that was very nice and it was good to see the rest of them again. I really don’t think anything can really match the combined whit of Brian, Ben, and myself (whether that be matching stupidity or intelligence is up to the ladies).
Saturday – Really the only black spot of the week. My car decided the night before to overheat after 5 miles of driving so I spent the morning trying to find places to check my car. Of course I called ahead as to not unduly injure my vehicle, but the first place I called made it sound like they could help me immediately but told me when I got there I would have to wait 6 hours. The second place I called told me I could bring my car in after 45 minutes and get serviced but told me I’d have to wait 4 hours and probably leave my car overnight when I got there. Normally I wouldn’t have minded the waits, but I had Theresa with me and I didn’t want to bore her for the day. I finally decided to drive out towards Sawmill so I could be in short driving distance of Tara so I could easily drop my car off… My car stalled as soon as I got off the exit… The service center told me I likely warped a piston or cracked a manifold. Turns out when I had my thermostat replaced last fall they didn’t refill the engine block with coolant… wanna guess what that does? Theresa and I were already going to Tara’s for dinner with my dad, so it worked out. As a thanks for picking me up, I prepared the chicken for dinner (which turned out really well). After dinner, we went out to see The Bridge to Tarabithia. I don’t see it winning any Oscars, but it is a fantastic story and very moving.
Sunday – Theresa and I spent the night at my sisters and I made breakfast for everyone in the morning after which we went to Magic Mountain for the afternoon. Matthew was being rotten for most of the day, but it was a lot of fun.

Too much detail Ben?
