A fabulous holiday indeed

Shall we start with Friday? The week seemed to never end… With the weather and my endless tests and projects and studying it just stretched on forever. Friday finally came… the 9th Friday is always the worst. Usually the 10th week (at my level anyway) is spent doing presentations, research, papers… usually anything but class… The was over and I called Theresa (of course). I was quite happy… I had plans for the entire weekend which included my dad driving her down Sunday for Memorial Day… so excited I started mixing things in my head and said something really stupid. Of course I knew I didn’t make it right, but I thought I at least made it better…

Keith and I were going out to dinner and then meeting some friends at the Rave to see POTC3 (by the way… infinitely better than expected and much better than the second). At dinner Theresa calls me to tell me she decided not to come… We argued for a few minutes but since I was at dinner and had already crossed the line of rude, I told her I would have to talk to her in the morning (a situation I neither liked nor wanted but was necessary for both of us to not be pissed at the other). So… before my night started it was partially ruined and left Theresa and I with our first argument.

Saturday… I called Theresa as soon as I woke up and we found a “solution”. The argument was about a birthday party I was supposed to be at Sunday night and didn’t want to take Theresa because of an unfortunate circumstance. Well, Friday, in my excessive glee, I invited her and then had to tell her why it was I originally didn’t want her to go (yeah… me = dumb). Well… I worked it out so that I would try to leave the birthday party around the time that my Dad, Theresa, Andy and Ashley got here to allay any of Theresa’s concerns about me not being there. That kinda worked out… I was about 30 minutes off.

Saturday night I was at Mike’s birthday party on campus. That was a lot of fun… except for the part of me almost falling off their front porch. Sunday morning it took me about 20 minutes to figure out where I was and how I got there. The day was very slow, but I made it out to the party at Mike’s house and met Theresa about 6:15.

Monday, we all took a boat out on Alum Creek. That was a lot of fun, up until the boat got an oil warning. My dad, not wanting to run over the rental time, started getting pissed off at me because I wouldn’t turn the boat back on and get back to the marina. Took me a few minutes but I got the phone number of the rental company and they got someone out to us.

The weekend worked out wonderfully. I haven’t had as much fun in a long time. I must say though, I was sad to say goodbye to Theresa again. I’m still not sure how well I’m going to deal with this summer.
