“Oh, the weather outside is frightful…”

“… But the fire is so delightful,
And since we’ve no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow.

“It doesn’t show signs of stopping,
And I brought some corn for popping;
The lights are turned way down low,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

“When we finally say good night,
How I’ll hate going out in the storm;
But if you really hold me tight,
All the way home I’ll be warm.

“The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we’re still good-bye-ing,
But as long as you love me so.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.”

Nothing like a good blizzard to put you in a good mood… so long as you aren’t out driving in it. Yesterday, while Theresa was driving home, she fishtailed up the highway, spun out and slid off into the median. My guess is traffic was moving too fast and she drifted into a patch of slush. Her car doesn’t weight much so the lack of traction and drag on one side just wreaked havoc on her steering. I drove up to Mt. Gilead to make sure she was ok. By the time we got a tow truck the roads were so bad I just had her follow me back to Columbus.

I had class to go to and I was supposed to go see the Martin’s but the snow kept falling. When I got home from Art, Lane Ave. was a solid sheet of compressed and mostly frozen slush and High wasn’t doing any better. From the highways on my little jaunt before, I figured it wasn’t worth the risk. Theresa and I stayed in and woke up to a level 2 snow emergency and everything covered in 8-12 inches of snow. Yippee. It was a very lovely day, minus the grading I had to do. We got to play in the snow for a bit.

    Says you… snow is awesome. Think of it this way… would you rather have cold and no snow?
